The Internet as a Resource

The Internet as a Resource

The Internet has revolutionized our lives. Shopping, online bill payment and internet banking are some of the many services now just a mouse click away. But how about real estate transactions? Will consumers one day be able to buy or sell a house online? Not likely.

…to Buyers and Sellers

The Internet has indeed changed the real estate industry. Consumers now have a powerful tool that can serve as the gateway to the real estate process. But the Internet is not capable of handling the thousands of details, unique situations, unexpected hurdles or hundreds of face-to-face interactions that accompany the average real estate transaction.

…and to Realtors®

The Internet has permitted the Realtor to enhance the myriad of marketing services they offer. Advancements in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) have dramatically increased seller exposure and the buyer's ability to preview properties from any computer. Additionally, Realtors now have a vast array of digital marketing tools at their fingertips. Virtual tours, digital images and electronic brochures have become integral components of real estate marketing. Downloadable forms have reduced required paperwork and increased the speed by which the transaction can be completed. All this is essential to keep up with the rapidly changing pace of today’s real estate market.

It's a good time...
